andrew > A beautiful winter morning near my house. I saw this duck first and tried in vain to take a few good shots of it. This one I found pleasing...but then...

andrew > Crunching through the snow over the the pipes that pass the creek under the road must have startled these two from hiding. They darted out and away almost before i could snap a few shots.

andrew > This one is a very candid shot of the duck. I'm not sure of the zoom factor but thanks to my new digicam it's all optical baby! Admiteddly not the greatest shot I've taken but this is day one with the new camera.

andrew > I couldn't decide which framing of the shot is better. This one or the previous one. They both seemed pleaseing to the eye. I genreally leaned towards preferring the other photo that shows the pair of ducks in the lower right of the frame. Still I think they both convey a certain amount of movement and wonder. Opinions are welcome!!!!!
